Hannah and I flew to Denver to visit our good friend, Amber. This is the first time that Hannah and I went off for a girls trip ogether since the twins were born. Since they turned a year and are no longer breastfeeding, I had no reason not to go somewhere, and Brian is more than capable of handling the twins by himself. He says that he had a great time alone with them too! We left Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon, so not too long of a trip, but definitely long enough to shop, eat out, get pedicures, and catch a movie (I hadn't been to the theater since sometime in 2006 and can't remember what movie I saw last)! So I had a great time being away and had absolutely no worries, no babysitter to check in with or rush back for. It was a great time and maybe Hannah and I can do it again after I'm done breastfeeding this next baby, so maybe early 2010?
Here are a few pictures, I snapped a few this morning as I caught up with our laundry, Ethan and Amber help me put clothes in the dryer. Also, our twin friends, William and Claire came over to play for a little while before lunch today. We are already back in the swing of things here.

Gina, I'm so glad that you got a weekend away, especially before the new baby comes!! I have gotten your messages and I am sorry I haven't called you back. I have had a crazy week again (trying to get back on track after our trip!) Anyway, I'm going to call you this week and we'll set up a time to get together! I would love that Jumperoo too! Your right about Brian, we called to invite him to our house for cake (andy's bday) and he had his day planned out! Go Brian.
Yay to girl's weekend! I'm ready for you in 2010, although I might be living in a different city! Hopefully it will be a cool city that you two have never been to before, but it might also be Columbia, MO, and sadly, that really isn't very exciting. Either way, you and Hannah are always welcome for a girl's weekend with me. I suppose, however, that it is my turn to visit...so I can meet the new baby and see the twins before they get too big!!! I love all the pictures you put up...everyone looks so happy!!
